Free QuickBooks ODBC/Reporting Webinars
Due to the number of requests we see on the various forums and receive from clients we have decided, as a service to the QuickBooks community, to begin hosting free custom QuickBooks reports how-to seminars. We will begin with two a month and expand the schedule if necessary. We will try and keep the groups small - around 5-6 people with similar report requests.
In order to be eligible to participate you will need to fill out a Webinar Participation Form and provide us with a little information about yourself, your current skill level with database and reporting technology, and what reporting topic you would like training on.
These sessions will be custom tailored, as best as we can, to the requests that we receive so the better the information you provide us with beforehand the more you are likely to get out of attending.
The idea here is to walk you through the steps it will take to get you started on the way to building the reports you want to write so, if you can, mock up what you want to create in a Word or Excel document (or even a Notepad text file) and submit it with your request. There is an optional file upload area on the form when you sign up.
The sessions will be online via the DimDim web meeting service. Depending on where you are located geographically the conference line may be a toll call for you but the webinar will be free and the content will be tailored to your request.

Due to the recently announced upcoming changes in the Crystal Reports EULA (End User License Agreement) we have, unfortunately, had to put this project on hold as SAP has made some rather harsh changes to their policy on use of Crystal Reports screenshots.
Many of the videos we had planned fall under these new guidelines which will either prohibit us from using images of their software or allow them to basically charge us whatever they deem fit for the use of those images.

It is possible, if there is enough of an uproar from the Crystal development community, that SAP will throttle back on their requirements and limitations. Once we have a better understanding of what they are actually going to do then we will be able to determine how to proceeded.
We suspect that this, hopefully temporary, setback will not impact too many potential users as most of our feed back has been that endusers are not really all that interested in writing these reports themselves and that they would rather just hire us to do that.
In the meantime, we are re-working some of our template reports and will be releasing them shortly.
